friday night fun

Friday Night Fun (FNF) is a free respite program that always lives up to its name. Participants choose between recreation in the gym, crafts, table games and activities like Wii, Karaoke and Bingo. The evening closes with Bible skits, singing and prayer.

Who is invited:  Adults and teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ages 15 and older)
When:  One Friday each month (October– April) from 6:30-9 p.m.
Where: Commons Hall
RSVP required:  Register online by the Wednesday prior to FNF so that we can be adequately staffed.

This is a cooperative respite program between College Church and the Office of Christian Outreach at Wheaton College. College students buddy up with STARS as they attend events on campus.
These events are by invitation only.

Who is invited: Adults and teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ages 16 and older) who do not need 1:1 assistance and who are independent in routine self-care
When:  Once a month (September - April), times vary

buddy break

Buddy Break (BB) is a free respite program provided by College Church in partnership with Nathaniel’s Hope Buddy Break.  Kids with special needs make new friends and enjoy all kinds of activities while their caregivers get a break.

Who is invited: Children with special needs (ages 2-14) and their siblings (ages 2-12)
When: One Friday each month (October – April) from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Where: Commons Building
What to bring: A nut-free snack for your child
RSVP required: Register online by the Sunday prior to BB so we can be prepared for your children.
