YOUTH ART FESTIVAL
Join us on April 18, in Commons Hall. Student art (along with featured professional artists) will be displayed, including photography, watercolor, graphic design, pottery, pencil/charcoal, calligraphy and more. Witness performances throughout the day, including ballet, Irish folk music, pottery throwing, drama, live calligraphy presentations by Christopher Koelle, Sean Shimmel, and others.

REGISTER TO PARTICIPATE AS AN ARTIST

REGISTRATION OPEN FROM JANUARY 18-MARCH 29

 

Guidelines & Information for Entry:

  • Entry open to high school students.
  • All entries must be originals. Numbered and signed original art prints are acceptable, but commercially printed reproductions are not.
  • Entries must be received by March 29, 2009.
  • Digital Image of the piece must be received by April 5, 2009.
  • Only digital images by CD or via e-mail will be accepted. Digital images on CD can be dropped off to Harper Guerra at the College Church office or delivered to her via e-mail at hguerra@college-church.org.
  • The jury reserves the right to reject any work without explanation.
  • Details concerning performing art auditions will be given after registration.
  • Entrants will be notified by Wednesday, April 8, 2009 concerning acceptance or rejection of each piece they submit. The decision of the jury is final.
  • Each piece accepted for the art festival must be ready for hanging. All pictures must be matted with a backing (e.g. foam board).
  • All pieces must be turned in on (and not before or after) Wednesday, April 15, between
    9 a.m. and 9 p.m. to the College Church Commons.
