2008 Fall Missions Festival
October 10-12, 2008

The theme of the 2008 Fall Missions Festival is “All Scripture,” taken from 2 Timothy 3:16-17, and will feature events and speakers designed to emphasize the tremendous value of all Scripture, as well as the urgent need for God’s life-giving Scripture to be made available to all people.

The festival will begin on Friday, October 10, with a family event, “Scripture 360°.”  This will be a fun time to explore and learn together as a family about the full spectrum of different aspects which together make up the entire process of getting “All Scripture to all people.”  Interactive exhibits, games, crafts and time with our visiting missionaries will be some of the highlights of this event that you won’t want to miss!

Our speaker for the Sunday morning, October 12 services is Dr. Scott Hafemann, currently the Mary F. Rockefeller Distinguished Professor of New Testament at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, in South Hamilton, MA.  Prior to this current position, Dr. Hafemann served as the Gerald F. Hawthorne Professor of New Testament Greek and Exegesis at Wheaton College and Graduate School, Wheaton, Illinois, from 1995-2004.  He will be bringing us a compelling, biblical look at the importance of treasuring and utilizing “All Scripture,” both in our lives, as well as in the task of missions.

The October 12 evening service will feature Mike Toupin of the SEED Company, a Wycliffe Bible Translators affiliate.  He will be highlighting for us the “big picture” of how our core value of recognizing the importance of Scripture must cause us to correctly recognize the urgency of the task to make God’s Word available to all people in their heart languages worldwide.
