Shepherd's Arms Respite Care
Shepherd's Arms Respite Care Program:
This is a cooperative program between Wheaton College and College Church. Wheaton College students and College Church members volunteer to spend up to one morning, afternoon or evening per week with a child or adult with a disability. Volunteers undergo CPR-training, disability training, on-the-job training, personal reference checks, and criminal background check. Families may request an application form from Dawn Clark, (630) 668-0878, ext. 265 or by e-mail. To be eligible for this program, families need to participate in one or more of our STARS disability programs for a year. College Church membership is not required. A once a year $25 enrollment fee is charged.
