We believe that God has made each and every STAR in his image. Our desire is to provide a place for everyone with intellectual or sensory challenges to worship God and learn more about him. We offer a variety of programs for STARS of all ages on Sunday mornings, including both self-contained classes and inclusion, in order to help the STARS worship and learn in the best environment for each individual.

CHILDREN

We offer both self-contained classes and inclusion for children with special needs. our goal is to provide the best environment for children with special needs to learn about jesus. parents, in collaboration with the inclusion coordinator and children's ministry staff, make the decision regarding their child's placement.

  • YOUNG STARS SUNDAY CLASSES

    This class uses a variety of modalities and learning styles so that each child can learn to know and worship God in his or her own unique way.
    Who is invited: Children (ages 5-12) with intellectual disabilities or sensory needs that make it difficult for them to participate in the children's ministry classrooms.
    When: Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m (September-May)
    Where: Room 105 in children's education wing

  • inclusion

    We provide support to children as they participate in children's ministry classrooms. Support can come in a variety of forms including teacher consultation, 1:1 buddy/aide and classroom modifications.
    Who is invited: Children (ages 3-12) with special needs who can participate in learning and worship in children's ministry or music ministry groups when support is provided.
    When: A variety of times and settings including Sundays at 9:30 a.m. (year- round) and other club and music programs as appropriate. If there is a children's ministry event that you would like your child to participate in, please let us know.
