The College Group at College Church is a church-based ministry to young men and women between the ages of 18 and 23. As a ministry of the local church, the goal of College Group is to be:
WORD-CENTERED. Each Sunday, the group gathers in the Commons during the 11 a.m. hour for a meeting that is focused on Bible teaching. More often than not, Pastor Eric works through a book of the Bible in an expositional way, although there are some breaks for more topical series. Small group Bible studies, too, are a place for intentional study of God's Word.
- WORSHIP-DRIVEN. As believers in Jesus Christ, worship is the right response to the grace we have been shown by our glorious God in the death and resurrection of his Son. As a group, then, we regularly sing praises to God in music and approach him together in prayer.
- RELATIONALLY-SHAPED. Through small groups, Sunday evening gatherings, retreats and other special events, the goal of College Group is to encourage authentic Christian relationships that will provide encouragement and accountability as we follow Jesus together.
- GLOBALLY AWARE. We want to actively remember, pray for and support the work of the gospel of Jesus Christ that is growing and advancing all over our world. We will actively support overseas study teams and pray often for our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world.
SUNDAY MORNING - 11 a.m. in Commons Hall at College Church (fellowship, singing, Bible teaching)
SMALL GROUPS - These once-a-week gatherings meet in local homes on a variety of weeknights for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. If you're interested or have questions contact Margaret Becker or Pastor Eric Channing.
