ELEMENTARY

Whether your elementary student enjoys the missions focus each week, memorizes Scripture as a class, or develops relationships in a small group, each first through sixth grader has a variety of opportunities to grow in his or her faith through the programs offered each week at College Church.

Bible School

Elementary students meet during the 9:30 a.m. hour in grade level classes.  Encouraging students to know, love and obey God’s Word is the primary focus with both large and small group interactions taking place in all grades.

W.O.W. (Wonders of Worship) (September -May)

Children in Kindergarten through Third Grade begin worship in the 11:00 a.m. service with their families and are dismissed before the offertory for W.O.W.  Through small group activities and an age appropriate worship setting, children learn about worship, participate in worship, and are prepared for participation in our gathered worship service.

Children’s Choirs

Christian Service Brigade (September-April)

Tree Climbers

This program for first and second graders and their dads meets on Wednesday evenings (6:45-8:15 p.m.).  Fun, fellowship, and learning from God’s Word is the emphasis as boys participate in games, crafts, verse memorization, and Bible lessons.  Boys are welcome to attend even if dads are unavailable.

Boys' Brigade

Boys in grades three through six meet on Wednesday evenings (6:45-8:15 p.m.) during the school year for games, activities, and the study of God’s Word.  Relationships are built with boys and adult leaders as they interact on a weekly basis. This program offers boys a fun place where then can bring friends.

Pioneer Clubs (September-April)

The focus of Pioneer Clubs is to incorporate Christ into all parts of children's lives and to encourage them to invite friends to join them.

Pioneer Girls

First through sixth grade girls meet in grade level groups on Wednesday evenings(6:45-8:15 p.m.) for Bible exploration, games, and crafts.

4th-6th Grade Bible Study (September-May)

Bible Study meets weekly on Thursdays from 4 -5 p.m. in room C103, led by Diane Jordan, Director of Children's Ministries.  Each week the group will discuss the Scripture passage for Sunday's corporate worship service.  In addition, they will occasionally meet with a pastor or elder to hear how they study the Bible and prepare sermons.  This study is intended to prepare students to better understand the Sunday sermon and help them take practical steps to obey and share God's Word.  Questions?  Contact Diane Jordan.
