WENDELL HAWLEY agreed to serve on the pastoral staff in the interim between Senior Pastors Kent Hughes and Josh Moody. Following the installation of Pastor Moody, Wendell agreed to continue in ministry as assistant pastor. Prior to taking a formal ministry position here, Wendell faithfully served College Church in many capacities including many terms on the council of elders. He has pastored churches and served as chaplain with the military and to the incarcerated. He also spent many years serving on the editorial staff of Tyndale House Publishers. Wendell and his wife, Nancy, have three grown daughters and 11 grandchildren—six boys and five girls.
