Bible Reading 2017

There is something powerful about God's Word, the Bible. It is the source of life and hope, of conviction and encouragement, of grace and truth.

We believe that time spent reading the Bible is an important part of developing a vibrant relationship with God. Together with the Anchor Verse Scripture Memory Plan, we challenge you to spend time reading and studying the Bible every day. You could do this on your own or  ask a friend to read through the Bible with you and talk about what you are reading in God's Word. We have a Bible Reading Plan for 2016 that will allow us to journey through the year in God's Word, reading the same passages together day by day.

There are several ways to access the 2017 Bible Reading Plan electronically:

  1. The links on this page will be updated weekly. You can find each day’s reading here in the "Bible Reading" column.
  2. You can go to bible.com or download the free YouVersion app to your smart device and set this up as one of your plans. You will either search for “Discipleship Journal Reading Plan” or follow this link.
  3. Follow us on Facebook to see the daily readings.

You may also pick up a printed copy of the Bible Reading Plan at the Welcome Center or information kiosks in the Narthex or Commons.

ANCHOR VERSES

Our Scripture memory program is called "Anchor Verses." These verses go along with our 2020 Vision and encourage the entire family to learn together. For the second quarter of 2017, we will be memorizing Psalm 24 together.

If you would like a scripture memory card or a devotional card for Psalm 8, stop by the information kiosks on Sundays or the Church Office during the week to pick it up.
