At College Church we believe that following Jesus is not just a Sunday morning event. Following Jesus means making daily, sometimes minute by minute, decisions to put him as the priority of our lives. The relationships that we have with one another are an important part of encouraging each other in this pursuit. Our adult ministries at College Church are a place where you can get connected with other adults to learn from the Bible about what it means to love and follow Jesus. We have groups that meet on Sunday mornings and throughout the week. So find a group and get connected today! Our adult ministries include:

 

Opportunities at College Church

If you are new to College Church, you may be interested in taking part in our three-week Newcomers Class to get to know us better, or coming to a special lunch for visitors on October 2. You may even be ready to take a step toward membership at College Church. Please click here for more information on all of these opportunities.

 

Helping Others Change: a Christ-centered approach for the development of a personal ministry

Take part in a 12-week class that will give you the tools you need to help others experience true and lasting Christ-centered change. This highly interactive class will utilize lecture/discussion supplemented with video presentations, role plays, reading and brief homework assignments created to facilitate personal reflection and weekly class discussion. Please consider enrolling if you anticipate being able to participate in all of the sessions. The class will be facilitated by Patrick Fallon, Part-Time Director of Congregational Support and Care at College Church.

The class will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Monday evenings beginning Sept. 19 and concluding on Dec 5. We will meet in C005 in the College Church Commons. The class fee of $20 covers the class materials: Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands: People in Need of Change Helping People in Need of Change and How People Change (Study Guide), both by Paul David Tripp. Click here to register, or contact Christy by email or by calling (630) 668-0878 for more information.

 

GriefShare

If you have suffered the loss of a spouse, child, family member, or friend, GriefShare will help you on your journey through grief. It is a support group where you’ll find friendly and caring people, as well as valuable resources to help you recover from your loss and rebuild your life. Each class “stands alone”, so feel free to join at any point. The cost is $15 for the workbook. Join GriefShare on Tuesday evenings starting October 4, 2016 and continuing through the end of January, 2017. Pre-Marital Class

Becoming One is a class for engaged, soon-to-be-engaged and newly married couples. This 10-week class will examine the characteristics of a biblical marriage in topics such as the roles of husbands and wives, communication, conflict resolution, family, finances and intimacy. All couples, regardless of church background, are welcome. Class dates are February 5, 12 19 & 26, March 12, 19 & 26, April 2, 9, 23 and 30. Class fee is $20 for materials.
