Weekly Prayer Needs

Praises
-Praise the Lord that we have been made the body of Christ. Pray that as the Spirit guides this body, each member will use his or her Spirit-given gift for the building up of His Church. (1 Corinthians 12:27-31)
-Praise the Lord for lavishing His goodness upon us. Pray that He would empower us to no longer crave our old habits of living but earn for that which will mature us in our salvation. (1 Peter 2:1-3)
-Praise God that Jesus rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God interceding for us. Pray that we will trust God to justify our sin and not lean on our own efforts (Anchor Verse, Romans 8:33-34).
-Praise the Lord that He is calling and equipping our brothers and sisters in Christ to carry the gospel to the rest of the world. Pray that He will provide for their every need as they daily seek His kingdom.
-Praise the Lord for His Spirit who empowers us all to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and who makes us holy just as our God in heaven is holy.

Pray for our Community
-Pray for the leaders of College Church as they prepare and present the 2020 Vision in the coming months. Pray that God would prepare our hearts for the areas in which He would like us to grow.
-Pray that the Spirit would prepare our minds and hearts to receive communion this Sunday. Pray that this would be a true time of remembering the great salvation given to us because of Jesus.
-Pray for the upcoming Newcomers Class (September 12–26). Pray that those leading it will effectively welcome the new family members and that those attending will receive the loving fellowship of Christ.
-Pray for this week’s Men’s Gathering (September 10). Pray that God will use this time to train up men to follow Christ in sacrificing themselves to their families, their church and to Himself.
-Pray for the Fall Missions Festival (October 8–10), that the Spirit will sensitize our hearts to the great need for the gospel of Jesus Christ to be spoken to our immigrant neighbors.
